Text (402) 676-2290 to be added to our waitlist!
We understand that this portion may seem a little intimidating, but it is for YOUR protection as well as ours, and it is largely to ensure that we are on the same page and that the services offered are a good fit for you and your pet.
YOUR PET’S HEALTH AND WELFARE: You must be confident and confirm that your dog is fit, healthy, and up-to-date with vaccination. Grooming of sick, pregnant, or elderly dogs is entirely at the owner’s risk. We don`t take responsibility if your dog develops an allergic reaction to shampoos, conditioners, or any other grooming products - we use high quality products in our salons so reactions should be rare. We will accept a veterinarian-prescribed medicated shampoo if your pet requires it. Please let us know if your pet requires a mild shampoo or no cologne.
TIME KEEPING: We work by appointment only. If you are late more than 15 minutes, your appointment may be rescheduled in the case of a busy day. Most grooms take 1-3 hours or more depending on the size, temperament, and coat condition of the dog.
CANCELLATIONS/NO-SHOWS: We request 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel your pet's appointment. We may charge a fee up to the amount of half the price of your pet's groom if a cancellation is made without at least 24 hours notice. We understand that life happens, inclement weather, etc. Just let us know what is going on and we will work with you! This fee is at our discretion. No-shows will be charged the fee and the fee will be tacked onto the next grooming appointment. Frequent no-shows and frequent same-day cancellations may be subject to paying a deposit or the grooming service in full before booking their next appointment.
PAYMENTS: Payment for services will be made on the collection of your pet. If someone else is picking up your pet, we can send an invoice to be paid. We accept payment by cash, card, check, Venmo, or can send a link to pay online. We also offer the option for you to keep a card on file in our system for easier checkout.
PRICE QUOTES: Price quotes for the cost of the grooming of your pet are based on an average dog of the breed or coat type, but owners must remember that some dogs will require extensive extra work and that pricing could be subject to change due to behavior, coat condition, and size of the pet, i.e. overweight, matted, etc. You will receive prior notification if there may be additional charges for your service that day. We reserve the right to change pricing during the groom if a pet takes longer than normal. Online or over-the-phone quotes are not final until we see your pet in person.
GROOMING ACCIDENTS: Please be aware that if the dog does not respond to the groomer and remains still during the grooming procedure accidents can happen such as nicks from clippers or toenail trimmers. In this business, we use sharp tools, therefore, there is some risk associated with wiggly pets. If we do not feel that we can safely groom your pet without injury to ourselves or your pet, then we will halt the service for the day.
NEGLECTED & MATTED COATS: We do not accept liability for any other effects following the treatment of a matted dog. This can include irritation, redness, or nicks. Your written permission will be required to shave off a matted coat. If you request the mats to be combed out, the groomer will not do so if it causes the dog undue stress or pain. It is sometimes best for the pet to start over and keep their coat maintained. We must always keep the pet's best interest in mind. We will not be held responsible for any cuts or clipper burn on any matted pet. Matting on a pet is a serious issue and grooming a matted pet is difficult and hard on our tools. Bruising can appear after grooming. All matted pets are subject to fees.
IRRITATED HYGIENIC AREA: A sanitary trim is included with every groom and we use the same blade length each time. A small portion of pets may feel discomfort from a sanitary trim. It is the owner's responsibility to watch out for excessive scratching or licking of private areas and to provide them relief where needed. We will not be held responsible for any issues that arise from a sanitary trim. There is almost no way around a sanitary trim, and we rarely have issues, but irritation can happen depending on the pet. If irritation occurs, please let us know so we document and can leave this area longer for your pet's next groom.
EAR PLUCKING: Removing the hair can irritate the delicate skin of ear canals and lead to ear problems. Plucking the hair from a dog`s ear canal leaves minute openings or tiny wounds in the skin where bacteria can settle more quickly. Small amounts of hair in a healthy ear are beneficial and help to keep moisture out of the ear canal. We will pluck ears on a case-by-case basis, especially if the hair in the canal is matted or excessive.
FLEAS/TICKS: If your pet is found to have fleas we will treat him or her with a flea treatment bath for an additional $10. If your pet continues to arrive with fleas, the pet will be turned away until he or she starts receiving monthly flea treatment. Intact ticks will be removed and disposed of during the bathing process. If we find that the pet is infested, there may be an additional charge for the removal of the ticks.
SERVICE FEEDBACK: Positive reviews left on our Facebook page or Google page are always appreciated! If for any reason you are dissatisfied with any aspect of your pet’s groom please let us know within 24 hours (preferably before you leave the salon!). Reasonable requests to alter your pet's trim will be dealt with immediately or changes can be noted for the next groom. Please don’t leave negative feedback anywhere without contacting us first so we can do our best to rectify the situation! Sometimes things get lost in translation between parties and we want our clients to be 110% satisfied!
PHOTOGRAPHS: Your dog may be photographed before, during, and after its groom. Photographs may be used on our website, social media, or other printed materials for promotional purposes.
PET BEHAVIOR: Pets with uncontrollable or excessive bowel movements will be charged extra for re-bathing. Pets who are deemed to be difficult during grooming will be charged extra. We reserve the right to send any pet home if they are presenting to be a danger to themselves or others. We reserve the right to muzzle your dog if it presents a danger to the groomer. Brachycephalic breeds (short-nosed breeds such as pugs, shih tzus, pekingese, etc) will not be muzzled and will instead be put in an E-collar to protect the groomer. Please let us know beforehand if your dog has behavioral problems that we should know about. We do accept sedated pets. In some cases, you may be asked to assist with a portion of the groom in the case of an uncooperative pet, if you agree to help, we do not take responsibility for any injuries toward you from your pet.
